Virginia Beach Oceanfront Fishing Pier | Schenck Family
Since Thanksgiving is tomorrow (gobble till you wobble) I thought what perfect timing to share this adorable family. Why you ask? Well because the mother of these two girls showed me such kindness and I never had the chance to properly thank her. A few years ago, I met Jessica through stroller strides which is a community of mothers who exercise, support and care for each other. I was relatively a new mom, still trying to learn the obstacle course of motherhood! During class, my 18 month old Rachel, was being, well, an 18 month old. We had a long night, which led to an early morning, which then led to an even longer morning. (I know a lot of you can relate!) But I digress…When we stopped at the next exercise station I was near my breaking point! Nearly breaking down to join my 18 month in her crying fit, Jessica then asked me if I wanted to switch strollers and she would take Rachel for a bit. I know it might not seem like much, but for me it meant a lot. That one simple act of kindness held me together the rest of the day. It made me more compassionate to other mothers and served as a reminder that we all should look out for each other! So Jessica, Thank you, from me, Rachel, and all the mothers that just need a moment! From what I saw during your photo session, your husband and your girls adore you and I can see, and have experienced why!
