Who am I in a nutshell?

Well I believe love and laughter can cure all things (a bit of a cliché but so true). Hot coffee in the morning and iced coffee in the afternoon is a huge part of my daily schedule. I’m definitely a foodie and will watch video clips on food network with my daughter. The beach and live concerts are two of my favorite places to go to. I belong to a family of four girls and two parents that gave us their all. I’m fortunate to have wonderful friends that keep me sane during this wonderful and chaotic life of motherhood.  And most importantly,  I’m the happiest when I’m with my “college” sweetheart Eric and our two little ones Rachel and Luke.

Photography and Me

For some, becoming a photographer is their lifelong dream. For me, it was becoming a teacher. I thought my only passion was teaching for quite some time until photography found me. It simply started when my sister wanted pictures of her family. I had a nifty camera which I had no idea to use. But hey, I knew I had a creative side, I had YouTube to help me, and thought it would be fun! The first time I saw my sister’s face on how happy she was I felt a passion ignite. After a couple more photo shoots with friends and family I still kept feeling that same passion and I knew it was something I had to pursue.

Photography in itself lets me be creative. It's a challenge for me and I love that! I love how I can create images using natural light, color, and all things beautiful to capture a special or a silly moment for a family or a couple crazy in love. I would like to take photography as far as it will take me. Maybe a wedding or two in the future and then maaaayybe go international!? Hey, a girl can dream right? But seriously, I do love what I'm doing and that is capturing moments for people that will last a lifetime. Photography as a whole has brought back a spark in me that I thought I'd lost. And I'll be forever thankful for that.
